Gothic Remake Save Explorer
Application · Game save viewer and editor / Windows
Opens Gothic 1 Remake saves and shows the whole game state – character, inventory, quests, NPCs and reputation – and lets you change it safely in editor mode.
An unofficial, local tool for Gothic 1 Remake players. It finds the save folder on its own, reads as complete a picture of the game as possible in a bilingual interface and never overwrites the originals – changes go into a new save slot.
The explorer shows profiles, chapter, map, difficulty, playtime and save thumbnails, then character attributes with the position in the world, the full inventory, skills, active and completed quests with descriptions, every NPC with their attitude and inventory, traders with their stock, crimes and faction reputation, and the compendium. Statistics chart level and playtime, and a comparison view shows what changed between two saves. Data can be exported to JSON or CSV.
Editor mode lets you change attributes, teleport the character, edit the inventory, skills and quest state, NPC relations, trader stock and the story chapter. Every change goes into a queue, and the save is written to a temporary copy that the program reads back and checks independently before adding it as a new slot. The original file is never opened for writing.
Item, character and location names are in Polish – if the game is installed, the program reads its own localisation file. The app runs on Electron with an isolated renderer and a narrow file API; the interface is React with TypeScript.
