OpenMusicTagger
Application · Music tagger / Windows & Android · 2026
Point it at a music folder and it fills in tags, artwork and timed lyrics. You just approve the changes.
An app for Windows and Android that identifies tracks by tags, file name or the audio itself, and fills in missing metadata, high-resolution artwork and LRC lyrics.
Recognition works in layers: sensible existing tags first, then the file and folder names (including YouTube downloads), and finally an AcoustID audio fingerprint. Data is merged from MusicBrainz, Deezer and iTunes, preferring the official studio album over compilations.
The review screen shows only the fields that change – the new value next to the old one, struck through – and artwork at its real resolution. Accepted changes are written in the background, in parallel, and history lets you undo a single file or a whole operation. Timed lyrics are embedded in MP3, FLAC, OGG or M4A files.
