OpenTraceTrack
Application · GPS track recorder / Android · 2026
An aircraft-style HUD speedometer and a track recorder that splits a journey by mode of transport.
A GPS track recorder for Android with an aviation-style HUD, transfer detection, a map, statistics and export to GPX, GeoJSON, KML and CSV.
The HUD has speed, altitude and heading tapes, a trail of recent movement and a mirror mode for reflecting off a car windscreen. One recording can combine walking, cycling, a bus and a train – the app suggests transfers based on speed and splits the track into segments.
The map draws the track in transport-mode colours, and the speed and altitude profile can be scrubbed with a finger. GPX export goes straight to Strava or Garmin Connect, and the database is a plain SQLite file with a readable schema.
