Strefa Milczenia
Website · Article portal / web, Android, iOS · 2026
A site about disasters, intelligence operations and stories the world preferred not to talk about – over 200 articles with categories, countries and a timeline.
A portal of long-form articles on industrial disasters, espionage, the Cold War and scandals. It runs on my own blog engine with an editorial panel, reader accounts and subscriber access.
The site runs on a general-purpose blog engine I wrote from scratch: an article catalogue and editor, a public portal, user accounts, comments, RSS, text similarity analysis and built-in analytics. Every module can be switched off, and the setup wizard turns the same code into an entirely different site – with its own name, colours, logo and categories.
Articles are organised by topic and by the countries they concern, with flags on every card, reading time and related texts. Visitors who are not signed in see teasers leading to the Facebook page, while subscribers and supporters read everything right on the site, with font settings and photo galleries.
There is also an Android and iOS app – the same interface and the same data, with reading settings and the editorial panel. It is available to subscribers only, after signing in on the site.
