Camera, video camera and voice recorder in one Android app – with RAW/DNG, computational night mode, HDR fusion, a manual Pro mode and an audio studio.
A free Android camera app that combines full manual control with computational photography: RAW photos, its own night and HDR modes, long exposures, 4K 10-bit HDR video, time-lapse up to 8K, slow motion and a studio-quality voice recorder.
The photo modes go further than the stock camera. Night mode uses the manufacturer's hardware mode when available and otherwise its own pipeline: a burst of 4 to 12 frames is aligned, averaged with ghost rejection and adaptively tone-mapped. HDR uses the hardware mode or a fusion of three exposures (−1.7 / 0 / +1.7 EV) with local tone mapping. Long exposure blends 1–15 seconds of frames into a single photo – as motion blur or light trails – with alignment for handheld shots. There is also portrait mode with background blur, motion photos capturing three seconds before and after the shutter, and a full manual mode: ISO, shutter speeds up to 30 seconds, focus with distance, white balance and exposure compensation. Photos can be saved as RAW (DNG) or RAW+JPEG, even from a sensor the phone exposes as a separate physical camera.
Video means 4K, 1080p and 720p, 10-bit HDR (HLG) and stabilisation – matched automatically to what the device supports. Time-lapse in 1080p, 4K and 8K is encoded on the fly at ×15 to ×1800 speed with brightness smoothing, and slow motion lets you pick any detected resolution and frame-rate pair, such as 120 and 240 fps. Smooth zoom produces a slow, even push-in while recording.
The voice recorder captures AAC (speech, music, studio up to 320 kbps) or lossless 48 kHz WAV, in the background and with the screen off, from the built-in microphone or an external one – wired, USB or Bluetooth LE. It offers up to +24 dB gain with a limiter, noise reduction, peak meters, markers during recording and a library with waveforms, search and variable playback speed.
The interface is built around an arc-shaped mode dial that works like a lens ring with haptic detents. Zoom glides smoothly between 0.5× and 10× lenses, and framing aids include a level, a live histogram, grids, focus peaking and zebras. It is written in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose and CameraX; the computational pipeline processes frames in strips, so it uses memory for roughly one frame instead of the whole burst. Every change to the repository builds and publishes a new release.
