An Android app for virtual pilots (MSFS, X-Plane, VATSIM, IVAO). Weather, airport data, flight plans and a cockpit on your phone.
A free Android app for MSFS and X-Plane virtual pilots: live airport weather, airport data, a 3D map with your flight plan and a mobile cockpit that controls your aircraft in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 over your local network.
An Android app for virtual pilots flying in MSFS and X-Plane. It brings weather, airport information and a mobile cockpit together in one place, along with a number of smaller tools. It offers interactive METAR reports, TAF forecasts, SIGMET and PIREP messages, runway, frequency and ILS information, plus ATIS read aloud. A map with a 3D view shows airports, weather, your route and the flight track with its altitude profile. A flight plan can be created by hand, drawn on the map or imported from SimBrief, and once connected to MSFS it can be extended with SID, STAR and approach procedures, map waypoints and more.
With OpenTakeoff Link – a small Windows companion program – the phone connects to MSFS 2024 over the local network and becomes an extra instrument panel and controller. The mobile cockpit provides PFD and ND displays, engine parameters, thrust levers, autopilot, radios and aircraft system controls. The layout adapts to phones and tablets, and the autopilot panels mirror the look of Airbus, Boeing, Garmin and KAP140 units. You can fly the aircraft by tilting the phone, with an on-screen stick or with an external controller. A floating button keeps the controls within reach even while you browse the map or the briefing.
The app automatically keeps a flight log with the route, parameter charts and a landing rating, so you can replay any flight on the 3D map later. It also supports history backups, GPX export and handy tools such as wind, fuel and descent calculators, a unit converter and a METAR and TAF decoder. OpenTakeoff uses free, open data sources, contains no ads and needs no accounts or API keys for its core features; the optional SimBrief import requires your SimBrief username. The interface is available in Polish and English, with AMOLED, graphite and light themes.
